DESCRIPTION:

Static medium and high voltage harmonic filters and power factor correction capacitor systems are designed to maintain a desired target power factor level as well as maintaining harmonic content to within IEEE-519 standards, under constant load conditions on the medium voltage distribution systems. Most static/fixed medium voltage filters are single frequency types. These units are excellent in systems where multi-frequency harmonic suppression is required either for a large harmonic generating load or for a large industrial customer where large constant loading exist. These filters are easy to install and require a minimum of set-up time thus not requiring field support personnel. Maintenance is relatively simple allowing most firms to use trained in house personnel or local contractors to perform the required work. These units are available in voltage ranges from 2.4 KV to 35 KV and range in kVAR value from as small as 100 kVAR to as large as 30,000 kVAR.
