DESCRIPTION:
Static medium and high voltage single frequency harmonic filters
and power factor correction capacitor systems are designed to maintain
a desired power factor level as well as maintaining harmonic content
to within IEEE-519 standards. These units are excellent in systems
where low order frequency harmonic suppression is required. These
systems can incorporate both air core reactors and resistors to
increase the filter efficiency. These filters are easy to install
and require a minimum of set-up time thus not requiring field support
personnel. Maintenance is relatively simple allowing most firms
to use trained in house personnel or local contractors to perform
the required work. These units are available in voltage ranges from
2.4 kV to 138 kV and range in kVAR value from as small as 2,000
kVAR
to as large as 30,000 kVAR.
